Police Shooting of Parolee Ruled Justified

A police review board has ruled that two Burbank officers were justified in shooting and wounding an armed parolee during a traffic stop.
The parolee, Carl Strunk, 22, of Burbank is being held without bail pending arraignment on two counts each of attempted murder of a police officer, assault with a deadly weapon and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
