Dixie Chick Robison is a mom

Dixie Chicks singer-guitarist-banjo player Emily Robison gave birth in San Antonio on Monday to a boy, Charles, named after his father, musician Charlie Robison. It’s their first child.

Meanwhile, in anticipation of its 2003 tour, the group is soliciting fans’ input on whether to build that tour around arenas or amphitheaters. They’re taking the unusual step of polling fans to help decide which route to take -- a fundamental aspect of any tour -- because “our management is in a big debate over whether to play indoors or outdoors,” according to the note sent to those on the fan e-mail list.
