College Students Protest Handling of Sex Crimes
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
For the second day in a row, students at St. Mary’s College on Tuesday protested the school’s handling of sexual assault cases.
The students demanded improved crime prevention, quicker response time and more education about sexual assaults on campus. Students and former faculty members at the East San Francisco Bay college say the school has tried to cover up sexual assaults. They also accuse the college of refusing to expel students who violate the college’s sexual assault policy.
