Faith, Power and Politics

“Showing Faith in Discretion” (Sept. 27) is a real eye-opener. I have long been concerned by the excessive influence exerted on our national government by evangelical Christians. This excellent piece exposes what is nothing less than an insidious, illegal, unregistered lobby abetted by members of Congress. If members were found to be accepting largess from and furthering the cause of an Islamic organization, would the regulatory powers that be look the other way? I think not. Will they do anything about the Fellowship? Not likely.
