“I had a wine I really like, the 2001 Mason Sauvignon Blanc. As a rule I don’t like Sauvignon Blanc--but this is a real good bottle of wine. It’s really clean and crisp. Typically, Sauvignon Blanc can be herbal and have a lot of veggie characteristics, but not this one. It has riper aromas, more honey and fig, which I really like. It goes with barbecued salmon or sea bass; add a salad with tomatoes and bingo--you’re there.”
