Shaken Baby’s Father Faces Felony Charges

A father accused of violently shaking his now-comatose son and fighting the boy’s mother in court to keep the baby on life support must stand trial on felony charges, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Superior Court Judge Robert Monarch found enough evidence to order Moises Ibarra, 24, to stand trial for child abuse and corporal injury to a child. Christopher Ibarra allegedly was shaken when he was 8 months old. The child, now a year old, is being kept alive with a ventilator.
