From Times Staff Reports
In less than an hour Monday, a jury convicted a Sylmar man of murdering his 19-year-old daughter and 8-year-old grandson last year in his home.
Authorities said Claude Wright, 61, an Air Force veteran, shot his grandson, Kyle, four times in the chest on July 12, 2001. He shot his daughter--Kyle’s aunt--Elizabeth, who was home from college on summer break. He then shot himself but survived.
