U.S. Bill Will Expand Recreation Area

President Bush signed a bill Wednesday that will expand the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area by 3,492 acres.
The legislation, co-authored by Reps. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) and Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks), aims to protect the main wildlife corridor between the Simi Hills and Santa Monica Mountains.
The area stretches from West Hollywood to Ventura County.
