6 Arrested After Van With IRA Gear Seized
Police in Ireland arrested six men, including at least three suspected Irish Republican Army members, after seizing a van filled with masks, gloves and other suspicious equipment.
Police said a routine patrol spotted five of the men acting suspiciously in the southern coastal town of Bray and arrested them after searching the van. A sixth man was arrested later.
Inside the van were IRA-style masks, gloves, fake police uniforms, two-way radios, sledgehammers, ax handles and plastic ties for binding people’s hands, officials said.
