Penalty-Killing Part of Their Game

Share

The Kings have killed 11 of 12 penalties in their first two games, ahead of their pace from last season, when they killed 86.6% to rank third in the NHL.

“Probably the way we play, we’d better be prepared to kill five or six a game,” Coach Andy Murray said. “We play hard, and I think we’re going to take some penalties because of how hard we play.

“Six is probably too many, but if we’re going through the game with one or two penalties, we probably haven’t played hard enough.”
