It’s Pop the Top, Soldier -- Not Pull the Pin

From Times Wire Reports

A soldier accidentally fired a grenade at a shipping container of Coca-Cola at Bagram air base in Afghanistan, the U.S. military said. There were no injuries.

The soldier may have been fooling around when the incident occurred and might be punished after an investigation, Col. Roger King said. It was unclear why the grenade was in the launcher in the first place, he said.

The grenade landed next to a shipping container behind the base’s PX, or general store. King did not say when the blast occurred.
