Genesis LA Fund to Invest in the Exchange

The Genesis LA Real Estate Fund has agreed to invest $20 million in an industrial park that will be built on the site of the former Northrop Grumman aerospace plant in Hawthorne.

The fund will team with Los Angeles developer Lowe Enterprises to develop four industrial buildings totaling 600,000 square feet on part of the 105-acre property, which is named the Exchange. The $195-million development, at the Century Freeway and Crenshaw Boulevard, also will include a retail center and other commercial properties that are being developed by Lowe Enterprises.
