Fourth Person Sought in Slaying Inquiry Is Found
Authorities said Tuesday that they have located a young man named Jason who was at the party the night a 17-year-old dressed as a woman was killed, allegedly after others discovered his true gender.
Senior Deputy Dist. Atty Ted Landswick said the young man is “a witness at this point” in the death of Eddie Araujo of Newark.
Without revealing a last name, authorities on Monday had said they were seeking a party guest named Jason as a possible suspect in the case. They are expected to question him.
Three men have been arrested in connection with Araujo’s death. Michael Magidson, 22, of Fremont, and Jaron Chase Nabors, 19, and Jose Merel, 24, both of Newark, are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
