You may not be happy with this BCS ratings system, but just be thankful they’re not using my system. You’d be watching the Trojans playing for the national championship in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 3.

Did I mention that prejudice is the primary component in my rating system?

I was one of the few people who still believed in the BCS after last season, but I’m afraid I’ll have to jump ship now.

Notre Dame has played Michigan and six stiffs and they have the No. 1-ranked schedule in the country. That’s it for me.

While suffering through the radio broadcast of the USC-Washington game Saturday, we got these tasty tidbits of information from USC alum Paul McDonald:

First quarter -- “Washington’s defense is known for playing soft.”

Second quarter -- “There’s some of that aggressive defense Washington is known for.”

And when describing his disappointment that a buddy of his on the USC coaching staff wouldn’t divulge strategy to him, McDonald’s response (not tongue in check) was, “C’mon, I’m not a member of the media!”

Chris Dufresne’s contention that losing two quarterbacks will, in fact, save Bob Toledo’s job, is completely insane. The only thing that could possibly save Toledo’s job would be if Cade McNown were granted a fifth year of eligibility.

I’m tired of Bob Toledo making excuses and blaming other people for his mistakes.

As a former major league baseball player, I’ve learned to accept responsibility for the decisions I made on the field. It’s very apparent to me that Bob Toledo has never played in the big leagues.

Because Bob Toledo has an excuse for everything, I can’t wait to hear his excuse for why he was fired.
