Losing the Label

Re “Label This Swell,” editorial, Oct. 22: It’s not just T-shirts! Every garment I buy has a label at the neck or waist. Cutting them off doesn’t work; they’re still stiff and irritating. Many are sewn on with prickly plastic thread. Many are sewn right into the seam of the garment, so you ruin the garment if you use a seam ripper. Some won’t come off even with a seam ripper. Bravo to Hanes. I sure hope this starts a trend.
