Visitor numbers at Euro Disney’s new theme park outside Paris have failed to pick up as the company had hoped, say analysts who are scaling down attendance and profit forecasts for next year.

The Walt Disney Studios that opened in March was originally flagged as a crowd-puller that would lift total visitors to the two neighboring parks to 16 million to 17 million by 2002-03. Some analysts lowered estimates to 14.2 million.

The group, which reports full-year results Nov. 13, declined to comment.
