Gas Explosion Kills at Least 33 Coal Miners

A gas explosion tore through a coal mine in the central Chinese province of Hunan, killing 33 people and leaving six others missing, the New China News Agency reported.
Sixteen miners were rescued after the explosion, which ripped through a coal mine in Shuangfeng county as 55 miners toiled deep underground.
