TRW Wins Contract on Missile Shield Program
TRW Inc. has won a contract that could be worth up to $600 million for battle management research on the U.S. missile shield program, the Pentagon said.
The initial contract, for work to be performed at Shreiver Air Force Base in Colorado, is for up to $200 million through Jan. 3, 2003. Two one-year options valued at $200 million each may follow, the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency said.
Under the deal, TRW Systems of Colorado Springs will support and maintain facilities for the Joint National Integration Center, the Space Warfare Center and the Cheyene Mountain Training System among other outfits involved in research and support of missile defense, the Army said.
