Registrar Certifies Contenders
The following candidates have been certified by the register-recorder for the Nov. 5 ballot for five council seats in Hollywood. If secession is approved by a majority of voters in Hollywood and the whole city, the top five vote-getters would be elected. They would select a mayor from among themselves. Occupations are listed for those candidates who provided them.

Lohr, human resource consultant; Rosa Cristina Martinez, educator; William McGovern, actor, director; James Meinel, businessman; Paul Merritt, financial services broker; William Moriarity, freelance writer; Paul Ramsey, architect; Joe Shea, community association president; Garry K. Sinanian, businessman; Pashree “Pat” Sripipat, publisher and editor; Keith Stephens, business owner; Billy T. Tsangares, business owner; and Jeff Zarrinnam, hotel manager.
