Man Admits Poisoning Food, State TV Says

A man jealous of a business rival has confessed to spiking his competitor’s breakfast snacks with rat poison, killing dozens and making hundreds sick, state TV said.
Chen Zhengping told police he was driven by hatred of the owner of a thriving Heshengyuan Soy Milk store in Tangshan, in Jiangsu province, China Central Television said. He was arrested Sunday.
Customers collapsed after eating dough sticks, sesame cakes and rice balls Saturday.
