15 Die, 10 Wounded in Fireworks Blast
Fifteen people were killed and at least 10 hurt in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Indonesia’s Central Java province, officials said.
Six people died instantly in the blast in Kalibakung, 199 miles east of the capital, Jakarta. The factory inside a house employed about 86 workers, most of them women.
Police said the blast occurred in a room where workers were mixing raw materials for fireworks.
