Hospital May Still Host 3 Held in False Alarm
Three men who were briefly detained as terrorism suspects might be welcomed to train at the Miami hospital that later turned them away after media attention dies down, a hospital official said. But no agreement has been reached to allow for the three medical students to return, said Dr. Jack Michel, chief executive and president of Larkin Hospital.
The three began their training Sept. 17 at another facility.
Ayman Gheith, 27, Kambiz Butt, 25, and Omar Choudhary, 23, were scheduled to begin six weeks of training at Larkin on Sep. 16. But the hospital decided not to host them after officials said it received hundreds of threatening e-mails.
