Anaheim to Buy Grove Theater for $6.7 Million
The Anaheim City Council agreed Tuesday to pay $6.7 million for the Grove of Anaheim, an 1,100-seat theater near Edison International Field.
SMG, the company that owns The Grove, had received a $6.7-million purchase offer from Melodyland Christian Center.
But the city--which had originally owned the 1.25-acre property before deeding it to Ogden Entertainment in 1997--retained the right of first offer if it were ever sold.
