Milosevic Daughter Gets Suspended Sentence
The daughter of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic was sentenced to a suspended eight-month prison term for firing a gun during her father’s arrest last year, state television reported.
Marija Milosevic was found guilty of “endangering public safety” and illegal possession and use of firearms during the 26-hour siege of the Milosevic family residence in Belgrade, where police arrested her father in April 2001. Slobodan Milosevic had been ousted half a year earlier.
