Oct. 10: The League of Women Voters is sponsoring a forum for Oxnard City Council candidates, which will be televised on Adelphia cable Channel 10 (east county) and Channel 17 (west county) at 7:30 p.m. It will be rebroadcast on Oct. 17 and Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 10: A panel of public officials and activists will present arguments against the November ballot measure that proposes building 1,390 homes on Ventura’s hillsides. The meeting of the Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation will begin at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3290 Loma Vista Road.
