2 Teenagers Arrested on Suspicion of Rape
Two young men were arrested Saturday on suspicion of raping an unconscious 17-year-old acquaintance in a car, authorities said.
Santiago Gutierrez, 19, and Franco Holguin, 18, were taken into custody about 1:30 a.m. after Oxnard Police Officer John Brisslinger found them in a car in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue.
The victim was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released, police said.
Officers do not why the girl was unconscious, and said blood tests were being run to determine whether she had been drugged.
