Two Killed, 8 Wounded When 2 Bombs Explode
Two bombings killed two people and wounded eight others, Philippine officials said.
A bomb exploded in a house in the city of Tacurong, about 620 miles south of Manila, killing a woman and a child. Authorities said they arrested two men seen leaving a package at the house.
Earlier, a bomb at a bus terminal in Parang, about 60 miles north of Tacurong, injured the mayor and at least seven other people, officials said.
Mayor Vivencio Bataga is a former army colonel known for his tough policies against Muslim separatists in the area.
