Snowstorms Barrel From Plains Eastward

Spring suffered a setback as an April snowstorm barreling along a 1,000-mile path from the Plains to the East Coast knocked out power and canceled baseball home openers from Chicago to New York.
The New York City area’s Kennedy, La Guardia and Newark airports remained open but reported delays as airlines canceled hundreds of flights.
“This is like Christmas without the cheer,” Steve Moilanen said as snow flew in Michigan’s Macomb County.
