Ariba Restates Losses for Last 3 Fiscal Years

Ariba Inc. restated its results for the last three fiscal years, widening its cumulative loss for the period by a net of $3.8 million.

Because of the cost of the accounting review that led to the restatement, Ariba said it incurred about $5 million more in expenses for the latest quarter, which ended March 31. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company said those expenses would increase its loss for the period by 2 cents a share. The software maker previously had forecast a loss of 16 cents to 18 cents
