25 Arrested in Escape of Cole Bomb Suspects
Yemeni police have arrested 25 people in connection with the escape of 10 suspects in the October 2000 bombing of the U.S. destroyer Cole, but the fugitives remain at large, officials said.
Among those recently picked up was a taxi driver who took the fugitives to a bus station, as well as others suspected of links to the Al Qaeda terrorist network, officials close to the investigation said.
The 10 men escaped April 11 from the intelligence prison building in Aden, a blow to the investigation into the Cole attack, which killed 17 U.S. sailors.
