KCBS-TV shakes up news lineup

Share

Glen Walker, who joined KCBS-TV Channel 2 last fall, will co-anchor the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekend newscasts beginning Saturday. He replaces Mark Coogan, who will become a full-time reporter and fill-in anchor.

That is one of several changes KCBS is making in its weekend news lineup. Steve Hartman will alternate sports anchoring duties with Derrin Horton, a reporter on KCBS’ sister station KCAL. They replace sports anchor Bret Lewis. And Josh Williams, who has handled some reporting and weather forecasting, will now become the station’s weekend weather forecaster, replacing Tony Williams.

KCBS weather forecaster -- A Quick Takes item in the April 23 Calendar about personnel changes at KCBS-TV Channel 2 misidentified the new weather forecaster as Josh Williams. He is Josh Rubenstein.

Both Lewis and Williams, who were freelancers at the station, were let go.
