Police Chief Slain, His Wife Hurt in Shooting
From Times Wire Reports
Tacoma Police Chief David Brame was killed and his wife was injured in a shooting, after news media had reported on abuse allegations in the couple’s divorce case.
“The probability is strong that the chief shot his wife and then himself,” Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Ed Troyer said.
The shooting took place around 3 p.m. in the parking lot of a shopping center in Gig Harbor, northwest of Tacoma.
Brame became police chief in Tacoma, a city of 194,000, last year.
