A decline in global airline traffic slowed in June as more people resumed travel after the containment of SARS, an industry group said.

In the first half, global air traffic fell 7.1% from a year earlier, with Asia-Pacific airlines carrying 16% fewer passengers and North American carriers 11% fewer in the period. European traffic dropped 1.1% in the first half.
