Tropical Storm Erika Headed Toward Texas

Tropical Storm Erika formed in the Gulf of Mexico and could hit the Texas or Mexico coasts on Saturday, forecasters said.
The fast-moving storm was weak and ragged but was expected to strengthen before hitting land, forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami said. At 5 p.m. Thursday, it was about 350 miles southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River.
