Ex-Teacher Guilty of Possessing Child Porn
A former Anaheim elementary school teacher has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and using students to produce some of his own.
James Russell Hiland, 37, was ordered Wednesday to return Oct. 3 for sentencing at the North Justice Center in Fullerton.
Hiland was accused of surreptitiously videotaping up male students’ shorts under the guise of a “computer project.”
He resigned from his teaching position at Lincoln Elementary School shortly after authorities began investigating the allegations last November.
