From Times Wire Reports

After years of controversy, the Cache Creek Casino Resort is on track to open in April.

The Yolo County casino is being expanded into a 375,000-square-foot Las Vegas-style complex. It will offer nightly shows in a 600-seat cabaret, boxing matches and a golf course, in addition to 2,000 slot machines and 135 gaming tables.

After neighbors complained about the proposed expansion last year, the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians agreed to pay more than $100 million over 18 years to help offset effects of the bigger facility, including increased light, noise and traffic.
