The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Raphael S. Davis, 24, of Tutwiler, Miss.; specialist, Army National Guard. Davis was killed Tuesday when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device northwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to B Company, 223rd Engineer Battalion, Army National Guard, based in Calhoun City, Miss.

Ariel Rico, 25, of El Paso; sergeant, Army. Rico died Nov. 28 of injuries suffered during an enemy mortar attack in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), based at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Aaron J. Sissel, 22, of Tipton, Iowa; specialist, Army National Guard. Sissel was killed Nov. 29 when the convoy he was traveling in was hit by enemy fire in Haditha, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2133rd Transportation Company, Army National Guard, based in Centerville, Iowa.

Ryan C. Young, 21, of Corona, Calif.; sergeant, Army. Young died Tuesday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., of wounds he suffered Nov. 8 when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle in Fallujah, Iraq. He was assigned to A Company, 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, based at Ft. Riley, Kan.
