Authorities Halt Search for Missing Student
Investigators put the search for missing University of North Dakota student Dru Sjodin, 22, on indefinite hold after two weeks of scouring the fields and rural roads across two states.
Grand Forks Police Capt. Mike Kirby said authorities were concentrating on the evidence collected so far.
A convicted rapist released from prison this year is charged with kidnapping Sjodin on Nov. 22 from the parking lot of the Grand Forks shopping mall where she was working. The suspect, Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., 50, is not talking with authorities.
