No. 1 Connecticut (5-0) at USC (1-2), Sports Arena, 2 p.m., KMPC (1540) -- The young Trojan squad figures to have trouble keeping up with the powerful Huskies, who have won 72 consecutive regular-season games. But Connecticut Coach Geno Auriemma does not expect USC to shoot as poorly as it did in last year’s meeting (18.2%), won by the Huskies, 68-44. “They’re a different team than they were last year,” Auriemma said. “I’m anxious to see what difference Rometra Craig can make because they didn’t have her then. And you know, like all [USC Coach] Chris Gobrecht teams, they will play hard, be physical and play great defense.” Connecticut defeated Pepperdine on Friday, 84-53. USC has been off since losing, 84-61, to No. 9 Minnesota on Nov. 29. This is the first of four consecutive home games for the Trojans after opening the season with three road contests.
