Gasoline Prices Drop to Six-Month Low

The average U.S. retail price for self-serve regular gasoline fell 1.4 cents last week to $1.476 a gallon, a six-month low, the government said.

Prices tumbled in all regions of the nation, the U.S. Energy Department said. Declines were led by the West Coast, where gasoline slipped 2.6 cents on average to $1.63 a gallon, still the highest in the U.S.

East Coast prices fell 1.4 cents to $1.484, and Midwest fuel prices dropped 1 cent to $1.425.
