Plea Deal for Alleged Ringleader in Death Plot

The last of three teens caught with swords, guns and 2,000 rounds of ammunition to be used in a planned killing spree accepted a plea bargain.
Matthew Lovett, 19, the plot’s alleged ringleader, pleaded guilty to carjacking. Prosecutors will seek 10 years in prison with no chance of parole for 8 1/2 years.
Lovett, Cody Jackson, 15, and Christopher Olson, 15, were arrested in Oaklyn in July after allegedly trying to hijack a vehicle. Officials said the trio intended to kill three other teens, then shoot others at random. The alleged scheme fell apart when the motorist fled and told police.
