Yemeni Sheik Pleads Not Guilty to Terrorism

A Yemeni political and religious figure arrested in Germany and accused of funneling millions of dollars to the Al Qaeda terrorist network pleaded not guilty to U.S. charges in New York.
Sheik Ali Hassan Al-Moayad was extradited from Germany in November to face charges alleging he plotted to provide material support to Osama bin Laden and to the Palestinian Islamic group Hamas.
The sheik’s assistant, Mohammed Mohsen Yahya Zayed, also pleaded not guilty to terrorism charges.
