Bomb Explodes Outside U.N. Staffers’ House

A bomb exploded outside a house where United Nations staffers stay in the Afghan capital, Kabul, demolishing part of a wall around the property and shattering nearby windows but causing no injuries, police said.
The blast occurred about half a mile from the presidential palace and the U.S. Embassy.
Gen. Baba Jan, the Kabul police chief, said that the explosion was caused by a bomb and police were investigating.
