Hasbro Inc.’s Wizards of the Coast subsidiary, which makes trading-card games and role-playing games, said it would close its chain of 64 retail stores in 15 states.

The company hired Gordon Bros. Group of Boston to help with the store closings, which are expected to be completed in about 60 days, Wizards said.

The unit said it was closing its stores, including the affiliated Game Keeper outlets, to focus on designing games.

Shares of Hasbro rose 6 cents to $21.28 in New York Stock Exchange trading.

The company has four Wizards of the Coast stores in Southern California, including Montclair, Westminster, Orange and San Diego, and more than a dozen Game Keeper stores in the region, including at the Glendale Galleria and the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance.
