Paul Newman and ‘Our Town’ coming to TV

“Our Town” has closed but you’ll be able to see Paul Newman’s first appearance on Broadway in 38 years anyway.

Showtime and PBS’ “Masterpiece Theatre” said Wednesday that they are teaming to tape a TV version of the production that recently played in New York.

It will debut on the pay-TV channel later this year and then will be shown on “Masterpiece Theatre’s American Collection.”

Besides Newman, the cast includes Frank Converse, Jayne Atkinson, Jane Curtin, Ben Fox and Maggie Lacey.
