5 Victims of House Fire Include Mom, 3 Kids
From Times Wire Reports
An early-morning fire at a wood-frame house in Madisonville killed five people, including a mother and her three children.
They likely died of smoke inhalation, the coroner said.
Killed were a 25-year-old woman; her sons, ages 6 and 7; her 2-year-old daughter; and a 39-year-old man. The man’s 45-year-old wife was hospitalized in critical condition. All six were tenants in the house, which did not have smoke alarms.
The cause has not been determined; arson was not suspected.
