* Pasadena engineering firm Tetra Tech Inc. agreed to buy a nuclear waste management unit from Foster Wheeler Ltd. for about $80 million in cash.

* 21st Century Insurance Group of Woodland Hills reported net income for the quarter ended Dec. 31 of $14.8 million, or 17 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $41 million, or 48 cents, in the year-ago period.
