Larry Agran Is Ready for Prime Time
Re “Long-Awaited Great Park Can Take Shape Quickly,” Feb. 16:
Credit is due to Irvine Mayor Larry Agran and the Navy for this innovative solution to the El Toro problem. Orange County’s Central Park will be built, as promised, without undue burden to the taxpayers, while the Navy pockets some much-needed revenue.
Should Measure V be found unconstitutional and Gov. Davis get the opportunity to appoint someone to the Orange County Board of Supervisors, he should name Agran. Agran has demonstrated that he has the intelligence, creative thinking and political skills to be an outstanding supervisor.
