Philippine Rebel Group Deemed Security Threat

Singapore has singled out a Philippines-based rebel group -- not found on U.S. or U.N. terrorist lists -- as a threat to its security and vowed to intensify efforts to root out any sympathizers, a government report said.

The group, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, has been fighting for Muslim self-rule in the southern Philippines for three decades.
