Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne is demanding that the TBS Superstation not rebroadcast “America’s Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story” until scenes are deleted that the rock star says defame him.

The movie, which premiered on the cable station Sunday, shows Kennedy rescuing Daryl Hannah after Browne allegedly beat her up. The actress is the former girlfriend of both Browne, 54, and Kennedy, who died in a plane crash in 1999 at 38.

“Mr. Browne has never assaulted Daryl Hannah,” said Browne’s publicist, Michael Jensen. “Ms. Hannah never filed a police report claiming such an assault and Mr. Browne was never arrested for or charged with such an assault.”

A spokeswoman with Atlanta-based TBS did not immediately return a call asking for comment.
